You’re like a pied piper yourself :) I keep following the trail you’re blazing, from one site to the next.
The book was fantastic…still is, of course. It’s hard to believe that anyone lived all of it. Congratulations on that, and for your victory over the negative impact that some of it had. It’s good to overcome the obstacles.
When are you and Patty going to do something together ?

Miss O’Dell, It’s so amazing to see all these comments from readers of your book who absolutely loved it and just “couldn’t put it down” because I feel the exact same way! When I began reading it, I subconsciously put myself in your shoes. The way you stumbled upon this unbelieveable opportunity made me realize that this could happen to anyone..even me! I so admire your honesty in the book as well in your life with The Beatles, The Stones, etc…(ex. When Maureen flat out asked you, “Have you been sleeping with my husband?”, I gasped out loud and felt sick to my stomach..You were honest with her which is so commendable and it really showed what a true friend you were..) I loved learning about all of this history of rock’n'roll and the fact that it was being told by a woman who had been in the “inner circle” just made it even better. When I saw at the end of the book that Pattie had written a book called “Wonderful Tonight”..I was like “Great!!”…Now, I’m going to have to go and buy that one, too and miss out on some sleep for another 3 days!..(that’s how long it took me to read yours).. Anyway, thank you again so much for sharing your story and I want to vote right now for you to visit Memphis, TN sometime in the future. In your book, I think you mentioned being in Memphis twice so I say, “Why not a third?!”

I really enjoyed your book, and I agree with your ccomments on how people perceive women in the rock-n-roll world.

You are lucky to have had your experiences IMO, and what you learned undoubtedly has helped you in your professional life.

It was good to read about the behind the scenes stuff about rock n roll lives. It shows how human the music stars are and it is very interesting and enlightening.

Chris, I really enjoyed reading your book.. Took me back to my own days of rock and rolling in the glory days of Detroit and the Grande Ballroom when I had to opportunity
to see great live acts in all their creative splendor. Local ones like the MC5 and Stooges to the Who, Joe Cocker, Big Brother & Holding co., Frank Zappa. Music for all ocassions. You brought to the fore what it was like to be in a pressure cooker with all of the egos that went with it in touring. Congrats on surviving it all and coming out on the other side as a contributing member of the human race. All that music only added to make life more interesting and bring with it the youthful curiosity that creativity always engenders. Bon appetit! Viva la Vie!

did you ever come thru eugene oregon? i think we had a fling. i wish. i cant remember actually. loved the book. wished i were the fly on the wall (as long as that clapton dude did not squish me). would have loved to have gotten deeper into who george harrison really was. i am a subscriber to many of his beliefs. i think. must have been a trip. the few revealing tidbits of him behind the scenes was titillating, and like chinese food, a little unsatifying. i am sure you have much deeper insights (esp now with your ‘new’ profession) and that kind of stuff is more meaty to me. jmo. write another one. tell more. not sordid stuff, but real stuff.
