did you ever come thru eugene oregon? i think we had a fling. i wish. i cant remember actually. loved the book. wished i were the fly on the wall (as long as that clapton dude did not squish me). would have loved to have gotten deeper into who george harrison really was. i am a subscriber to many of his beliefs. i think. must have been a trip. the few revealing tidbits of him behind the scenes was titillating, and like chinese food, a little unsatifying. i am sure you have much deeper insights (esp now with your 'new' profession) and that kind of stuff is more meaty to me. jmo. write another one. tell more. not sordid stuff, but real stuff.

Hi there,
I teach at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social Work (VCU), which is located in Richmond, VA. I am adding your book to my list of recommended biographies/memoirs for the students I teach.

I am about your age, and remember the time you write about well--I never missed a concert that came within a 100 mile radius, and I have my ticket stubs and t-shirts to prove it. Thank goodness I still have my brain cells. That's what I tell my daughter and my students.

Teaching Social Work is my latest incarnation--(I do not do clinical work--I am too empathetic). Like you, I led a wild and woolly life in my younger days--but, do not forget, Chris, it is those experiences which make us the rich people who we are today. Would you change a moment of yesterday if you could? Not me! Many of my friends talk about the old days, how much fun we had, yada, yada, yada...I like to think that I still have a lot of life yet to live--how about you? Just because my only child is a senior in college, and has plans to move to Japan, does not mean that my life is going to end tomorrow, does it?

I loved your book. Many thanks to you for telling your story!
Keep writing!

Chris, I really enjoyed reading your book.. Took me back to my own days of rock and rolling in the glory days of Detroit and the Grande Ballroom when I had to opportunity
to see great live acts in all their creative splendor. Local ones like the MC5 and Stooges to the Who, Joe Cocker, Big Brother & Holding co., Frank Zappa. Music for all ocassions. You brought to the fore what it was like to be in a pressure cooker with all of the egos that went with it in touring. Congrats on surviving it all and coming out on the other side as a contributing member of the human race. All that music only added to make life more interesting and bring with it the youthful curiosity that creativity always engenders. Bon appetit! Viva la Vie!
